MEADHBH MCILGORM _ Vice-Chair

Meadhbh graduated from the Glass programme at the NCAD, Dublin in 2013. Her practice is concerned with the ephemeral connection between light and glass, working primarily with kiln forming processes. She graduates in 2016 with an MA in Arts Management from Queens University Belfast.

SINEAD BRENNAN- Treasurer

Sinéad Brennan (born 1989) is a glass artist and educator based in Dublin. She holds a BA(Hons) in Art and Design History and Craft Design and a Professional Diploma in Art and Design Education from NCAD. Her glass education has also taken her to SIU, Carbondale, Illinois. Since 2012 Sinéad has worked as a technical assistant to large studios and a diverse portfolio of artists. SEAN CAMPBELL - Development Officer

Sean Campbell received an M.A. from the University of Ulster and trained in Visual Art in Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand and the United States. In 2011 Campbell won the Robinson McIlwaine Architects Original Vision Prize at the RUA 130th Annual Exhibition for Sentinel (Belfast, Lego) and the Sculpture in Context Award for Sentinel (Botanic) in 2007. In 2010 Campbell was selected as finalist for the third time in the international art competition E-merge in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Scott Benefield received his MA in 1990 following a year spent in Sweden on a Fulbright-Hays grant. He has been an artist-in-residence at the Toledo Museum of Art, the Corning Museum of Glass, North Lands Creative Glass, the Creative Glass Center of America and the Tacoma Museum of Glass. He was a visiting scholar at Osaka University of the Arts in 2009 and a recipient of a Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust award in 2013. Alison Lowry is a glass artist living and working in Northern Ireland. In 2009 she graduated from the University of Ulster with a first class Honours degree in Art and Design. Since then she has won numerous awards including bronze at ‘Emerge’ at the Bullseye Gallery in America, first place in the glass category at the Royal Dublin Show in 2009 and 2015, the Silver medal at the Royal Ulster Arts Club’s Annual Exhibition in 2010 and the Warm Glass Prize in 2010 and 2011. Sophie is a multi-disciplinary artist who uses humour and craft to explore the everyday and make the ordinary more extraordinary. She has recently completed a joint major BA(hons) in Glass Design and History of Art and Design in the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. Eva Reddy has recently completed her BDes (Hons) in Craft Design:Glass at the National College of Art and Design. Her work explores human relationships with nature and animals. She is a young emerging artist who combines glass with photography and illustration to capture aspects of her childhood which were spent between Dublin city and the countryside of County Clare.
